FNI Appointed as Master Planners for $800 Million Puerto Rico School Modernization Program

FNI has been selected to develop a Master Plan that will entail the modernization 90 schools and the construction of 5 new schools. Working closely with UNIPRO, our sub-consultants in Puerto Rico, our scope of work includes a detailed Building and Educational Adequacy Assessment of each school, the development of National Design Guidelines and an Implementation Plan for Design and Construction. This is the largest school construction program in Puerto Rico’s history. FNI was selected based upon a very competitive process against some of the largest and most experienced Architectural/Engineering firms in the world.

Scotch Oakburn College Middle School in Launceston, Tasmania has received a 2010 LEARNING BY DESIGN Honorable Mention Award. From among the multitude of projects submitted from throughout the country, this project has been deemed one of the best by a nationally recognized panel of architects and educational facility specialists. FNI served as Design Architect for the project.

In addition, Scotch Oakburn College will be included in an exhibit at the 2010 annual conference of the National School Boards Association (NSBA).

Sinarmas World Academy by FNI Awarded Prestigious Project of Distinction Award in Washington DC

Sinarmas World Academy in Indonesia has been awarded the prestigious Project of Distinction Award by the Council of Educational Facility Planners International at their recently concluded world conference in Washington, DC. FNI served as this K-12 project’s Master Planner and Design Architect.

FNI to partner with India’s Yash Birla Group in a venture that will develop 300+ new schools

“The 3,000-crore Yash Birla Group has earmarked Rs 500 crore in the next three years to establish nearly 350 educational institutions for students and teachers through the group company, Birla Edutech.
This will comprise around 200 pre-schools, over 100 K-to-12 schools, 15 super-speciality colleges, and 20 teacher training institutes, the Group Chairman, Mr Yash Birla, said at a press meet here on Wednesday…
