The IELC’s expanded core curriculum includes: compensatory or functional academic skills (including communication modes); independent living skills (how to dress & undress, navigate, personal hygiene, etc.); group learning & eating; recreation and leisure skills; sensory awareness and control; use of assistive technology; social interaction skills; and career education.
