The proposed schematic design for NCSF includes a Greenhouse Environmental Studio which could house a Solar Aquatic Waste Processing System. The Environmental Studio can serve students and community members as a working Greenhouse for studies of sustainable agriculture, native botany, gardening, food and nutrition. The Environmental Studio draws a cross-section of people into its warm and humid microclimate and acts as a host to a mixing pot of generations, cultures and ideas. On any given winter day, the Environmental Studio may see dozens of people seeking refuge from the cold and a connection to the environment.
