Better Schools for Ohio

At the invitation of the Ohio School Facilities Commission, FNI principal Prakash Nair conducted a staff training workshop and prepared a detailed design review for three schools to be built in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus. The design reviews were done utilizing FNI’s trademark “Evaluation Instrument” which was developed in partnership with Dr. Jeff Lackney at the University of Wisconsin under a grant provided by the Rockefeller Foundation.

I am very interested in your evaluations of school designs for Ohio and other places. I have been a strong advocate for Green Globes and LEED certification processes as well as functional small learning communities.
I am one of the principal designers her at FHAI of new Dayton Public School models. Our goals are to achieve LEED Silver certification (maybe Gold) and viable SLC designs.
I have been with FHAI for 10 years since leaving my teaching post at Ball State University School of Architecture and Planning. Please contact me about work I see comming up in Egypt for possible association with FNI.
    John
