Julie is the Founder and Executive Director of the Institute for the Future of Learning, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the factory model of education.
Julie has over fifteen years experience in organization development and change management and is passionate about transforming the factory model of education and reinventing it for the 21st century. From 2004 to 2013, Julie was a Leadership and Organization Development consultant at Harvard University. Her areas of specialization included change leadership, retreat design and facilitation, executive coaching, accelerated learning and new leader onboarding. During her tenure at Harvard, Julie received the Harvard Hero award for outstanding performance and contributions to the University.
She is a contributing author to the 2001 ASTD Training and Performance Yearbook and Creative New Employee Orientation Programs (2001 edition and 2010 edition). Julie’s articles have been published on the EdWeek.org website and the ‘Futures of School Reform’ blog.
Julie received a B.A. with Honors in Business Administration and French from Queen’s University, Belfast and a Masters Degree in Technology, Innovation and Education from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
