  • FISHER-PRICE PLAY LAB

    East Aurora, NY

Fielding Nair International was selected by Fisher-Price (Mattel Toys) to re-plan the famous Play Lab,
their landmark childhood research facility located at their design headquarters in East Aurora, NY.
The Fisher-Price project mission was to enable the Play Lab to support a comprehensive range of
research methods & facilities that help the Fisher Price team understand children’s
interests, abilities, and needs, and leverage their team’s extensive professional knowledge
and technical expertise to provide a range of quantitative and qualitative research.
This then comprises the foundation for the design of toys suited to the abilities and interests
    of the 21st century child.

The FNI team has utilized the current best practices to create a child-centered,
collaborative learning environment that expands their research team’s ability to
interact with their little guests and allows them to go beyond the role of "observer" to that
of a "mentor". In this frame of reference “Researcher” and “Parent” are interchangeable.
