Guy is fluent in several langauges, including French, English, Hebrew, and Dutch, and has collaborated with FNI on European projects, particularly at the International School of Brussels, in the creation of their new 21st Century High School.
in 1979- 1984 he studied Architecture in Brussels (Institut Supérieur d’Architecture Victor Horta) and graduated in 1984 Magna Cum Laude, and in 1984 Guy moved to Israel, where he worked for five years in architecture and was a consultant for Apple in order to demonstrate the use of Macintosh to fellow architects.
In 1988 Guy was a teacher for one year at the institute of technology of Tel-Aviv in CAD (Computer Aided Design). He then moved back to Belgium in 1989, and worked for 6 years at an architect’s office (BEAI) located in Watermael Boitsfort, and continued to demonstrate the use of architecture programs to architects.
Guy created his own company in 1995 (Atelier d’Architecture Guy Melviez—GMA)I and now has eight architects in his firm.
Further sample projects include office design and implantation for AT Kearney in Brussels and Amsterdam, a laboratory for water analysis in Luxemburg, the lower and upper field at ISB, the HS library, the ICC renovation, and the New HS building; large constructions of industrial buildings (IMC, GEA, UCB, Allianz), office refurbishments, new houses for private people and refurbishments of buildings.
