Walther is a Senior Education Advisor for FNI, representing the firm primarily in Europe and the Middle East. With extensive experience, networking and leadership in furthering international education he assists schools with the creation and development of agile learning spaces. Throughout his career, Walther has held responsibility for starting schools and creating their pedagogy, which involved extensive campus and community development efforts.
Walther is grateful to have been a part of the Leadership Team in excellent International and IB schools and has been formed by each one. He was previously the Director of the American International School Egypt West; Founding Director of the St. Gilgen International School in Austria, Director at the American International School in Abu Dhabi; and Director of the Vienna International School. Walther also served as High School Head at the International School of Brussels and Deputy Head & Director of Studies at the United World College of the Adriatic. As a working educator, he specialized in teaching IB History, IB Philosophy, Theory of Knowledge through most of his career, starting 1973 to 1979 at the United Nations International School, New York.
Walther also serves as Accreditation Advisor for the Council of International Schools, and previously served on the Boards of the European Council of International Schools, International Schools Association, Emirates College for Higher Education and The Alliance for International Education.
